Mel Gibson was spotted with his arm in a structured sling as he made an appearance at theUnsung Hero screening at Lionsgate in Santa Monicaon Wednesday.
The actor, 68, appeared in top spirits despite attending the event with his left arm strapped into a supported black brace after undergoing shoulder surgery.
He put on a casual display for the evening, wearing a simple black T-shirt under a fitted blazer, which was slung over his shoulder.
The Mad Max star kept his look low-key, wearing a pair of black trousers and folding his glasses into the collar of his top.
He toted around with his phone in one hand and a brace strapped to his stomach to keep his injured arm stable.

Unsung Hero will be released in cinemas on April, 26, while the final trailer was shared earlier this month.

Mel was also spotted catching up with the movie's leading man, Joel Smallbone - who plays David Smallbone.
Joel looked dapper for the evening in a three-piece blue and red plaid suit, which he paired with a crisp white shirt.
